Hello I have a silver Audi S6 and the paint has been treated to clay, polish and carnauba wax all by mequiars. I wanted to step up to some higher end polish and wax via your website and wanted to know what you thought would be the best products to use.

Thank You
Robert

I hear Wolfgang fuzion is good

Smokey,

What are you trying to achieve? What's the condition of your paint? Do you have a DA or working by hand?

I would suggest looking through the Show N Shine Threads for ideas and tastes. Also the Product Review section will be helpful.

Paint is in very good condition I just want to achieve maximum shine and depth. I have a porter cable and some lake co pads.

There are so many combination of polishes sealant and wax for what you want. The options or endless
Black fire Ice over Fire
Wolfgang Polish Enhancer paint sealant 3.0 with fusion wax
Chemical Guys Black light with any carnuba wax
Megs M205 with any carnuba wax or sealant or both

There is a few articles to read that will help you out as well.

What year is the S6? Is this Avus silver or light silver metallic?

I have an A6 and S6 avant, both in Light Silver Metallic. Dodo Juice diamond white and/or light fantastic look great on them for wax.

For a sealant, Blackfire wet diamond and Menzerna Power Lock both look great.

Finish Kare 425 is the best looking quick detailer I've used on Silver. Meguiars M34 is another good choice for a quick detailer.

Duragloss Aquawax if your in a cold climate and need a spray sealant to boost your protection during winter, but I don't think it looks as good on silver as the other things I mentioned.

Ultima Waterless Wash plus was the best looking of the "dry wash" products I've tried. It looks very nice on Silver.

If your S6 is a 2002 or 2003 light silver metallic, the paint is very hard. The menzerna line has worked well for my cars: SF-4500 + green, white or black lake country pad would be good combos to get the most out of the finish, this would be best achieved with a rotary.

It's a 2008 and its light silver.

mmmmm...V10 [\Homer voice]

I'm not sure if they substantially changed the paint formulation, but as I mentioned above, my light silver is very hard.

Otherwise, all I mentioned does apply.

I have decided to go with wolfgang fuzion wax but still need tips on a polish and i dont need anything stong just a high quality polish to apply prior to waxing

Great choice on the wax. Assuming your using a DA I would go with Optimum Hyper Polish. It's one of the more versatile polishes and finishes fanatically.

what wolfgang or pinnacle brand polish would be reccomended using a porter cable

I have also been looking at the Fuzion to put ontop of the WG DGPS 3.0. Hope you can post your thoughts after trying it out. Polish that I used Meg polish because I could find it local. Good luck.

Wolfgang Finishing Glaze is awesome if you don't have any heavy defects. It will bring out every bit of gloss possible and prep the paint for Fuzion.

I will second that Fuzion wax is very good.
You can buy it in a small can or a big one.
a small pot will give you about 5-6 applications
while the big one will give you about 50 applications ( because you get a free refill ).
then there is 5050 wax by chemical guys, cheaper.

Polish, meguairs have great compound, but Menzerna has better finishing.
I actually use polish angel final polish, they are almost at the same level of swissvax.
