Been a new member for a few days. Long enouogh to know you guys ( and gals) really know your stuff. I live in NH, own a "05" Pewter colored Silverado PU & use it for work as a contractor so I take good care of it. Been neglecting it so wanted to get it back in nice condition. I recently noticed small orange spots on the bottom panels, was told it was metal deposits from brake drums. I sanded with 2000 grit, compounded w/ 3M, polished with Meg. swirl free polish ( the sides & back of the truck) 3M glaze, & topped it off w/ Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield. I also own Klass High gloss sealant & Blackfire Midnight Sun. I have yet to do the hood & roof.
Am I on the right track? I own the PC random orbit.
I'm interested in layering on a product for looks & lots of protection.
Also if I wanted to layer on a product, do I need to wash the vehicle each day I want to do this or if there's not to much dust on it, can I just spritz with a product or use a microfiber towel?
Thanks in advance for your advice. You're all doing an awesome job.
