Would it be ok to use Opti-Guard on my metallic black suv after detailing as well as the rims.

Yes that would be okay. Just be sure to Polish your paint to your liking and remove all residue before applying.

So after waxing i can apply the opti guard to the vehicle or do i not tgake it to that far before i apply it

You cannot apply Opti Guard to a waxed surface. The paint needs to clear of any polish residue, wax or sealant, and all oils.
