Need some advice with this damage.

So some irresponsible decided to back into my daily driver while attempting to reverse park, and left some scuffs on my driver side door.

Ignore the accumulated dirt, the long black scuffs and the spot towards the left of the first picture is the
 
I'd bet a good clay will remove quite a bit of the mark. Follow it up with a polish or compound after that if necessary. Before you do anything though, wash!
 
So what type of advice are you looking for?

I'd wash it well, try some clay or some mineral spirits to try and get that black residue off, then polish the scuffs--that's really all you can do. It looks like you have a slight dent also, but it is what it is at this point--if you're lucky, after you polish it, you will be the only one that notices.
 
If the OP is talking about the door handle... looks like it's missing some paint.
 
I didn't want to take it to the shop if I didn't have too to be frank, just wanted to see if I could make it look "new" again before the clown hit my car.

Currently have rupes and meguiars compounds, any other recommendations?
 
Bummer, looks fixable for the most part. I'm surprised you don't have more damage. I can tell you how I'd do it in my shop. I'd obviously wash and clay. I'd then compound with a 4 inch wool pad and rotary. I wouldn't use a ton of pressure...just enough to knock off the scuffs. I don't like using MF pads for this because it contaminates them and heats them up too much. I would them go over everything with MF pads and compound and finish with foam and probably m205. Personally I would opti coat the area since it's taken such a beating from the scratches and scuffs plus the compounding. I'm convinced opti coat prevents paint failure and prolongs the life of paint.
 
Is the car that hit you still parked there? If so, find out who the owner is and put a claim into their insurance
