So I think this is the forum where this belongs, if not I apologize. I just got into detailing and I figured some of the more experienced members who know about more products could help me out.
I have a red 05 Ram Quad cab, It is outside 24/7 I live RIGHT on the ocean, and right at sea level if that matters, my town gets right about 130 inches of precipitation a year, and the roads aren't maintained very well so there are tons of potholes and gravel and dirt is all over the road. My truck has tar, dirt, bugs, swirls, and light scratches on it.
I want it to look nice and get rid of the swirls and scratches, and maintain the rims. Washing it every week or so is fine but I would rather not be doing more than that and a QW
Now you know the conditions and desired outcome would you please give me opinions on what products I should use for the job? I had a general idea;
pre-wash) tarminator and safe scrub b and t pad
washing ) Auto bathe or a rinseless wash like BF rinseless wash
Claying ) Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay "Special"
Polishing ) Pinnacle twins and 7424xp combo
sealant and wax) Detailer's maximum paint protector combo
Quick wax) Detailer's Quick Wax
windows ) glass scrub auto glass stripper (bogo)
wheels ) P21S wheel cleaner kit
Not trying to start a "wax war" I would just like your opinions on these products and how you think they work together, and in this enviornment. If you think another product would be better, or my procedures are out of order please tell me, I'm all ears
thanks.
