need some help choosing some cleaning/detailing products.

Thanks again, Brad and all.

Any preference between the two sprayers?

When you also say it may be hard to remove the sealant, as I would consider myself to not be a very handy person overall (with not a lot of normal, handyperson stuff around the house, for lack of a better term), is it going to cause me enough trouble where it'll make more work to actually remove the sealant, than actually having it on in the first place? You kinda scared me when you said if I followed directions, I may need elbow grease, and I would hate to have a big blotch of sealant that I can't remove.

When you say also 'I find it easier to remove by doing a couple swipes and then buffing it off', what do you mean by a couple swipes (assume right after it is applied)?

Sorry, I just want to make sure before I throw some money down on that small jug I know what I'm getting myself into!

I've finalized my list. Could you please also take a look before I purchase? I know I can always buy later, but I want to get the essentials first, instead of getting my goodies, then realizing no...I missed something!

Final questions

1) Any of this seem overkill? I'm considering just using APC+ for the wheels and saving the money on the Sonax, but the reviews for the Sonax just make me want to try it once, even though it's quite pricey. However, if APC+ fares only a little worse, I'll be more inclined to drop it. Also, is the grit guard good, or overrated?

2) After my car wash today, I found I'm having some issues cleaning my windows. The squeegee I have is leaving a bit of a residue behind. I think the blade has seen better days. Any suggestions on wiping outer windows (and the side mirrors)?

3) Asked it before, and I'll ask again. Am I missing anything other essentials? Did a car wash today, and really, the only issue I had were my windows (interior/exterior).

Thanks again. Hope to have this all ordered by tomorrow so I can get it in time for my days off next week!

Looking good.
I like the sealant.
Are you gonna get 2 bucket to do 2bucket method wash?
Sonax fe is still overkill to me. I think if you keep up with the wheels and keep them in good shape you shouldn't have to use a heavy duty wheel cleaner everytime you clean your car.
A tip to clean the windows:
make sure the glass is cool and in the shade use two glass towels one to clean and one to buff off streaks and final wipe it and they should be clean
I think your good tho!

Any preference between the two sprayers?

I would go with the ones I posted, the grey ones. Best one's for the money. The foaming one I posted I use with the apc so when I clean my wheels it sticks. Also when I clean upholstery it stay on top rather than disappearing into the fabric and it's easier to agitate since it's already foamed up.

What I mean is if you were to do half your car before buffing anything off it would take some elbow grease to remove it, more than removing a wax. What I do is I just do a couple swipes and buff it off right away. If you ever find you applied too much or you can't get a spot removed put some more on it to remove it or use some quick detailer and buff it off.

When you say also 'I find it easier to remove by doing a couple swipes and then buffing it off', what do you mean by a couple swipes (assume right after it is applied)?

When you apply a wax or a sealant you want to go up and down and not in circles. So after you go up and down a couple times, about a 1 square foot section, buff it off right away. Basically don't do a panel at a time, just a small are at a time works best.

Sorry, I just want to make sure before I throw some money down on that small jug I know what I'm getting myself into!

It may be small but it's worth it and will last for 8 or so years when used properly. Klasse goes on super thin. When I say that I mean there should be little to no residue left visible after you wipe, unlike a wax. I'm detailing some cars tomorrow so I will make a video and post it here so you get an idea.

I've finalized my list. Could you please also take a look before I purchase? I know I can always buy later, but I want to get the essentials first, instead of getting my goodies, then realizing no...I missed something!

Make sure you get everything in a single order and order when they offer free shipping. Shipping can kill the prices.

^ all good. I use 2 towels for drying my civic sedan. Maybe get the 3 pack

Wax/Sealant -
I have the wax.
I have the spray wax.
Applicator Pad (one for each job) - Meguiars Even-Coat Applicator - 2 Pack: 2 microfiber applicator pads that are excellent at applying Meguiars products.

Get at least 4-6. If you drop one on the ground or something you need a backup.

Sealant - Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze, klasse SG sealant, klasse sealant glase, klasse sealant
MF - Arctic White Microfiber Towel, microfiber cloth, detailing towel

^ 4 of these should be good for what you need.

Wheels -
SONAX Wheel Cleaner, all wheel cleaner, chrome wheel cleaner, aluminum wheel cleaner, full effect wheel cleaner
Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush Special

^ might be overkill. If your wheels are clean right now and you give them a good cleaning with the apc when you wash your car you shouldn't need this. I use iron X on my wheels twice a year. It has the same effect as sonax and iron x can be used on your paint also. If you get the 1 liter it's the same price. What do your rims look like? I have the daytona JR and it's big enough and small enough for everything. The regular sized one seems too big for some tasks.
Daytona Speed Master Jr. Wheel Brush, wheel cleaning brush, detail brush, cleaning brush, mini detailing brush
Iron X Iron Remover, CarPro IronX Paint Cleaner, paint decontamination

Glass -
Aquapel Glass Treatment, Rain Repellent, glass sealant, windshield protectant, Aqua-pel glass wipe

^You can use klasse on glasse for rain repellant :).I 'll show it in my video on saturday

Stoner Invisible Glass Pump Spray: Non-aerosol formula cleans automotive glass to crystal clarity! clean glass, windshield cleaner, window cleaner,

There is a great guy here, Ihaveacamaro, who did a comparison with the invisible glass and meguiars. Both performed the same, meguiars is cheaper. To make a gallon with the invisible glass it would be about $34, the meguiars is $20 and it dilutes at 11:1. So $20 for 11 gallons, I use it in my house too, is the best bargain. It's cheaper than vinegar and distilled water and it has more cleaning power.

^good

Meguiars D103 All Purpose Cleaner Plus

Super Soft Deluxe Blue Microfiber Towels, microfiber detailing towels, buffing towels, micro fiber towel, detail cloth
Natural Horse Hair Interior Upholstery Brush

^You can skip the super soft rolled edge mf towels for the interior and get cheaper one's for rubber, vinyl and plastic. No need for the rolled edge one's on the harder surfaces. This way you have cheap ones for the interior and the arctic white's for the paint. Everything else is good

I'd skip it, get iron x if you wanna see something work like sonax. Haven't used sonax but if you look at iron x it seems they are very similiar but iron x is made to work on paint also. So i'd skip it, if you're curious get iron x. Apc and iron x should be all you need for wheels. One to remove the dirt and grime and the iron x to remove the metal particles apc doesn't. I'd get that combo but no need to disregard the sonax if you really want it.

2) After my car wash today, I found I'm having some issues cleaning my windows. The squeegee I have is leaving a bit of a residue behind. I think the blade has seen better days. Any suggestions on wiping outer windows (and the side mirrors)?

The glass mf towels you posted along with meguiars glass cleaner. Works for me. Streak free.

3) Asked it before, and I'll ask again. Am I missing anything other essentials? Did a car wash today, and really, the only issue I had were my windows (interior/exterior).

Distilled water and distilled vinegar mixed at 1:1 is what I used to use because it was so easy to get it streak free.I just wanted more cleaning power and a non-vinegar smell so I switched to meguiars.

I was going to suggest onr but you don't need it. You already have an instant detailer/clay lube with your mothers clay kit and you already have a shampoo. The only time I would recommend it is during the winter months, if you have any, you can give your car a quick wipe down in the garage, if you have one. But otherwise it's not necessary.

No tire dressing or interior protectants? Unless I missed it, not awake right now. I would suggest opti-bond. Lasts a while, can be used on tires, rubber, trim and your dashboard. May need a microfiber applicator to dress your interior, or dedicate a cheap mf towel for this, and a tire dressing applicator, or dedicate a meguiars applicator for this. Just don't mix the applicator for dressing with the wax/sealant ones. If there's any tire shine mixing with your sealnt/wax things get weird. I personally use 303 on my interiors so you could use the optibond for just tires and rubber and exterior trim and use 303 inside.

Forgot about grit guards. I don't use them. I see a lot of stuff sloating in my water and not sinking to the bottom so I can't see anything floating down far enough to get trapped below a grit guard. Maybe a couple particles but they seem useless for the most part. I could be wrong, because most people use them. But I see most of the debris float or suspend.

And make sure you add a free sample to your order. If you want add a good sealant like blackfire wet diamond or wolfgang high gloss paint sealant. Those are easier to apply and remove then klasse but they dont last quite as long and you have to use more product. So maybe do that and order klasse or a different sealant later if you want.
