Need some help on selecting backing plates

Hello all. Looking for some help/advice.

I recently ordered the Rupes 21ES Bigfoot polisher. It comes with the 6 inch backing plate which is for rupes 7" pads. I want to be able to use my existing pads which are all 5.5" so I want to get a smaller backing plate. Will the Rupes 15ES 6" backing plate work on the 21? If not, which backing plate do I need?


Second question - I want to keep using my porter cable 7424. Does anyone sell a compatible 3" backing plate?

Question 1 Yes the 15 BP will fit the 21
