Need some help starting up a mobile detailing business

You are going to need a lot of MF's. But for the budget shoper, go to Target and get like 12 for $6. They arn't the best, but they function. The waterblades arn't necessary is you have two guzzlers.

I would drop the water blades, and with that money go buy a cheap gas powered leaf blower so you can dry cars and not dirty up your MF's.

I would get either less pinn. clay or get cheaper clay, I have heard people have decent success with ebay clay. You can also make you own clay lube pretty easily by diluting soap or using a product like ONR or DP's 4-n-1. 4-n-1 in the 32 oz. bottles is on sale right now I think and you could make about 12 batches of QD with one bottle or about 25 batches of clay lube, its definately a good product.

You could also probably cut out XMT 1, it is a super fine polish and you can usually get XMT 2-3 to finish LSP ready. There just isnt much cut in XMT 1, and I doubt you are going to get many cars that "dont need a polish".

so does that mean that i should use xmt 2 instead of 1?

I might get some micro restore to clean your MF's. I was hesistant at first with this product, but when I realized I had quickly amasssed about $150 in towels I thought I might as well take care of em. I used it for the first time yesterday and they are much cleaner and much softer than when I used to clean em with woolite.
