My next door neighbor has some paint specs on his polished aluminum rims. I am

hoping someone out there will be able to give me some helpful tips on how to remove

them without ruining the rims. I've thought about some plastic razor blades, and if I

don't get a better tip than that, I will go buy some tomorrow. Thanks for any advice

you may be able to give.

If they're bare aluminum even if you mare the surface some fine polish will bring it right back. Don't dig at it with a sharp instrument.

Try some lacquer thinner on a rag. Lacquer thinner wont harm bare aluminum but should dissolve the paint. Some fine polish afterwards then a cost of wax to protect.

Thanks for the responses guys...I happen to have all three on hand. That's a good tip

too Bobby not to dig at it, you could gouge it and make it worse....I should have

thought of that.
