I have a hearse limo that I do for a funeral home that is black with a hard vinyl top. What can I use to protect the top that will not run in the rain?

Chris,

I've been very pleased with Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant. It goes on easily and as long as it has a chance to dry you should be fine. I say dries throughly because it is a water based product so it needs to dry.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on my convertible top which is vinyl and it looks really nice and I've never seen it run after a rain. It does need to dry very after applying.

I used a water based dressing which is called Sheild n Shine. they are professional products. It did dry completely but the next day it rained and ran down the side of the car. Is this because it is silcone based? It is like spin off from a tire onto the body. Which happens frequently on dressed tires I detail.I will try both products.
thanks for your reply
Chris

Also a friend of mine has a truck he put a new tonneau cover on and it had something on it when he bought it and it ran like crazy. After a couple of good cleanings with APC+ then he applied the 303 and said he hasn't noticed any running problem yet. Just remembered that.

I've tried many, and would have to say that if want the ultimate in protection, durability and looks with absolutely no runs I would recommend Ultima Tire and Trim Guard. Don't let the price scare you off, as it takes VERY little and goes a LONG ways. The next best IMO would be 303AP....
