They are both great products, about the same cutting power (XMT3=SSR2.5, XMT2=SSR2, XMT1=SSR1), with Pinnacle being on top. Pinnacle is easier to work with as it leaves no dust. Poorboy's dusts a little.

I have only used Poorboys and can honestly say that I've been very pleased with it. Some people complain about dustin, but I believe this is mostly due to too much product being used.

I haven't used either, but don't leave out DP's SSR, or Pinnacle Twins.. both high-quality stuff. Most importantly, it works. :)

I've had good luck with Optimum and DP's.

I have used both lines and you can not go wrong with either line. What I will say is if you buy the XMT line be sure to purchase the pad conditioner and the pad cleaner and they both excellent products.

:iagree: You can't go wrong with either, but I give the edge to the XMT series as those polishes dust less than the Poorboy's SSR line up.

PB's has an edge in agressiveness. Because they have PB's #3 SSR which is a bit above XMT #3.

I've had the same results as supercharged. PB's does a lot but has the same cutting ability as XMT. I believe XMT3 has more than PB's 2.5. XMT does not dust and is sun friendly. Even on black. Here is one that I did with XMT3.

Both are great lines, and you can not do wrong with either, but having both on shelve I still find that XMT is the natural choice. Not as much dust ...

thanks for your input's everyone. i think i'm gonna go with the xmt series.

Probably have not heard this before, but I'm new here. Three quickies; (just got an '07 Toy. Avalon in blizzard pearl) do I need to wait any length of time before detailing and, are products paint-color specific or do they all work on any color? I notice lots of abbreviations, is there a glossary of these on the site?
