Need some polishing help please

So I tried the Ultimate Compound with the orange hex pad and it seemed to be a little better but it still diddnt get everything out.

Should I be expecting a pretty close to perfect finish with this stuff?

Some things might be really hard to remove, and will warrant additional passes. I used an orange hex with Ultimate Compound on a totally wasted Jeep. It took two applications to get everything out.

Yes, typically UC leaves an excellent finish.

Like dlc95 said, have you tried a second attempt with what worked better for you? I.e. the UC and orange pad? If that did, in fact, improve the reduction of what you saw remaining, try it again. And then again if needed.

Yes, we all want that fast and most effective solution to removing what we don't want in our finishes but a progressive approach with something that you found works, while more time consuming, until it satisfies you. Plus you already have it on hand and is the least aggressive approach if it levels slightly more paint each time.

I tried 3 passes on the hood and can't get everything out. Maybe my pads are no good anymore. I wash them every time after I use them. How long do they usually last? Or maybe Audi paint is just too hard...
