Need the best protection from 24/7 FLORIDA SUN and NUCLEAR PIGEON POOP

I recently moved to miami and will no longer have a garage or covered parking in the condo I live. The sun here is too strong and the pigeons living close by, I think flew too close to Fukushima or something, because their poop will tear up your paint shortly after it's bake by the unforgiving Florida Sun.

So, I have been reading up a lot and the more I read, the more products I find and can't make a decision.

Please help me find a sealant and wax or an all in one would be better that will last the longest and provide the thickest or strongest protections against UV and Nuclear Pigeon Poop. I am also looking forward to palmetto bugs' splatter yay!!

I posted another thread since I am also in the process of restoring the paint on my truck, so I am at the perfect moment to get a sealant and wax to get this truck protected here in Miami.

So Far I have gathered that the best wax for UV protection is Optimum Car Wax, but also there is Finish Kare 1000P that withstands high heat. These 2 products seem to be marketed for SUN protection.

Looked into
Duragloss 105
Collinite 845
Poli Seal
5 star Shine
Ultimate liquid Wax

What do you guys think? any other suggestions? If the product also helps fill some scratches that I was not able to remove, that would be even better, but really I am looking for protection from SUN and Bird Droppings. Needs to last too.

I know some above are sealants. What would be a suggested combo in my situation?

I really appreciate any advise. After I am finished with my red truck I will do my white pearl Sedan, so I want to get it right with the products.

Bird droppings can damage paint severely and must be removed as soon as possible. While sealants and waxes provide some protection coatings are your best bet. The product you've listed are all top shelf however none of them remove swirls and like defects.

The best protection against everything you've mentioned is a coating such as Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 or CarPro CQuartz Ceramic Quartz Paint Protection.

 
If you decide to go with a coating, find a pro to do it right the first time, especially since you don't have a garage to DIY. The sun and rain will wear down any wax or sealant over time. For a DIY, look into a sealant for main protection and weekly/monthly followup with spray wax (after maintenance wash) to prolong the sealant. Look to Meguiar's (their longest lasting Ultimate Liquid and Quik Spray Wax) for both OTC options. Look online for the other brands.

I am in the process of restoring the paint on my truck with Ultimate compound, however it seems that I won't be able to remove some poop etching and some deep scratches. These products you suggest, will they work well on paint that is not perfect? Also, I have to work when the sun comes down and it's not too hot, but always outside with light traffic from other residents, kids playing, etc.. so can't have a perfect environment for curing or no dust or elements exposure.. just outside on the parking lot unfortunately.

They will work on non perfect paint. They essesitially seal in whatever your final prep is before apply. As to applying and curing outside, not a fan but others may have done it with success, i used a family members garagw

Something on the lines of 2 coats of sealant topped with 845.
 
Yeah I am having problems with bird and tree etchings this year. I dont know why, been using FK1000p, but for whatever reason it seems like the carnubas I normally use in warm months did a better job. Ive had to bust out the Griots and compound out etchings twice already.
 
just to add to whats already been said. whatever sealant you have applied, adding layers of wax on top will help to protect it. wax should be considered a sacrificial layer and will buy you some time to remove the bird poop before it eats through to your sealant or paint. the more layers you put on, the more time it will buy you. if you just use a sealant then it will bear the brunt of the acidic onslaught, and once etched, you're back to square one.
 
I can testify under oath if need be.
Two vehicles. One is a 02 Ford Escort ZX2, The other a Toyota Sienna mini van.
Two coats of 601/105 for 15 months, outside 24/7. No poop stains no permanant water spots that did not remove with QD or wash.

Toyota,
One coat 601/501 lasted about eight months. No poop stains and no permanant water spots that did not remove with QD or washing.

Both of these vehicles had maintenance washes mostly with 932 rinseless, an occasional full wash with 901 and drying aid of Aqua Wax. They also had occasional applications of Aqua Wax on a dry vehicle.

Last but not least 14 months on a 32' fifth wheel RV with 2 coats of 601/105
Your conditions may vary but for the price and protection DG is very hard to beat. We do have a nuclear plant within 100 miles, we also have pigeons but I have not seen them glowing at night.

I live in Tampa, 32 years so here's some advice from a Floridian whose vehicles are exposed to high uv, baked on love bugs etc. I've used dozens of products and combos over the years. I have a garage to detail in but my dd sits outside and has been for over 8 years, it's a 2003 Xterra. I recently tried Poor Boys EX-P Pure Sealant and did it in full sun. Best to do it in the am. It worked excellently. Easy on and off and great protection. That's what I'd recommend based upon your current circumstances. All of their products can be used in full sun. I also bought their professional polish and EX sealant with carnauba, they are both excellent too in full sun. I like th EX-P Sealant and polish combo best. The sealant really makes metallics POP!!

 
Sonax Polymer Netshield offers some excellent protection. Application can be a little rough but in my opinion it's well worth it!
