Need the help of the A-Team

For Halloween some friends and I are going as the A-Team. We want to mock up our vehicle as well, though temporary, and I wanted input if 3m Red Vinyl tape would be safe to apply and remove from a vehicle surface. It would be applied at night and removed that night/morning so it would not bake in the sun.

Any input or better suggestions appreciated!

For those interested the vehicle will most likely be a black Envoy since we have access to one.
 
I dont think you would have a problem removing it. May need some adhesive remover, but dont think it will damage the paint. Have fun!
 
If I could find red automotive / painters tape it would be perfect, but after searching through 327 different 'red tape' results on 3m's site, no joy.
