need tips on detailing by hand.

When I'm at my gf's apartment, and am only able to work by hand, I prefer a quality cleaner wax. In the event I have to do some "correction" I like a product that allows me to cheat a little, like Meguiars Ultimate Polish. It not only cleans the paint, it also masks some of the imperfections, which I follow up with a sealant and/or a wax.
