Hello forum friends, I now need to pick your brains for the the best claying kit or best brand of clay to use for a beginner. I want to use it on our 2011 Fusion, my freshly painted Galaxie 500,and other modern cars.
Let me know what you think..
Thanks, Red

I recently used magic clay with Meguirs QD as lube and was blown away. Worked great

You may be able to save some money by buying the clay by itself. I seem to accumulate QD's and clay lube and I have hundreds of nice microfiber. When I buy clay I try to avoid the "kit".

Just got the towel haven't used it yet. But I have the nanoskin da pads and I love them. Find it much better than clay and a lot easier to use

Same here, hope to use this towel in the next few weeks. But when I first heard about claying I started with a kit from Mothers (found at WalMart), then up graded to clay from Black Fire, and now have the above mentioned towel to try out. Start with what you are comfortable with and can afford or want to spend.

Mothers Clay here, been using it for years. I will eventually try something new like Poorboy's.

Or any rinseless on hand, I find that a lot more economical than buying clay lubes or qds

I'm not sure if theres a lot of difference or not. I've used Mothers, PInnacle, and Poorboys and they all work great.

Griot's Garage sells a 227 gram clay bar for ~$20.00...
That's a pretty good deal on some real good clay...IMO.
