Very Good Info in that thread so heres my vote for making it a Sticky :dblthumb2:

I think it should be. It is a very thorough walk through of how to repair key scratches. You have my vote for a sticky.

I would like to make this thread a sticky!!! I used your thread as my reference in this job: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...08-honda-civic-alabaster-silver-metallic.html I also gave credit where its due.

I think this article will help everyone that encounters a key scratch repair in their future. It's very comprehensive and informative. It's a no brainer to make it sticky.

Thanks again for your time and effort Richy!

Another vote for a sticky!! This was an awesome thread! Thanks Richy!

Should be a sticky. Would be a worthwhile to practice the technique on a junk hood on a lazy summer day.

My buddy has the same issue with his MAzda....almost same exact color, too.

I think we're going to use your thread as our directions, and give it a shot!

Ha!! thanks i was looking for this thread the other day....getting ready to tackle one myself...STICKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

My S10 paint has been destroyed over it's life. I may give this a try this summer. Thanks Richie.:props:

What is the best "touch up paint" to use, and do I need clearcoat?

Sticky are usually reserved for admin to hold spots for items that need to be in the fore front. If we did stickies for a lot of post then when you visited that section the whole first page would be same old every time and you would not get any new content. We try to not use it as much as we can but there are things like forum rules and important update that do warrant it on occasion. Richy it is a great post but if I stick every great post that is made people would have to go to page three of the forum for new content. Luckily people use the search button a lot on this forum to find info on the topics that pertain to them or the help they need. We are always open to ideas though.

OK, fair enough Meghan. Thanks for giving me the courtesy of a decent explanation as well as just responding to the question! The ultimate goal is to help people. If newcomers don't know to search it, they may not be able to get the info, but I understand your reasoning for not doing it.

Richy, I know of another forum where it's already made "sticky status"...;)
