Needing a little help with ONR....

How's it going AG?
I purchased this onr about a month ago and today I finally decided to give it a run. I was working on a new black camaro, which my client had just left the dealership with about an hour prior. I've watched and Also read all the info regarding the product on this forum and am pretty confident I followed everything correctly. However, I found that there was a tremendous amount of streaking.

My process; two bucket wash, clean mitts, two ounces product with 2 gallons h20, cleaned each panel at a time and dried.
Idk what happened, but like I said, there was alot of streaking left behind.

Idk if working at night with all this humidity may have had some type of an affect. But I one I was fed up with it, I just went back with my traditional wash and finished with no problems.

Give me some advise please.

just how dirty was the car when you started?

It wasn't dirty at all. Like i mentioned before, it was fresh off the lot. And supposedly, it was washed before leaving the dealership.

well thats sounds like a possibility for the onr streaking considering you probably dont know what they used or what they consider washing.sounds like some oils of some sort were left on

The first thing you do with a new car is strip whatever crap is on the paint especially whatever prep work the dealer did by claying the car so your starting with a clean canvas. Theres one thing for sure...ONR is not the problem.

I agree with John.

Something may have been applied by the dealer so off it comes!

Optimum No Rinse is about as easy as it gets to mix and use.

Where I use this most is during the winter months here in New England.

Make sure the surface is not hot. In the shade wash each panel twice then dry with clean Microfiber towels then buff to a nice shine...

Isn't ONR rinseless wash dilution ratio 1 ounce for 2 gallons?

Add 1 ounce of No Rinse Wash & Shine to 2 gallons of water to make an excellent no rinse car wash. Soak a Cobra microfiber towel in the solution and wash your vehicle with the wet towel. Dry each section with another Cobra microfiber towel. There’s no need to rinse! The lubricants and substantive polymers in the formula will protect your vehicle from abrasion as it safely cleans all vehicle surfaces. The polymers encapsulate dirt and cause it to drop to the bottom of the bucket. No Rinse Wash & Shine actually cleans the wash water as it cleans your vehicle! Using 1 ounce per gallon instead of 1 ounce per 2 gallons might have been too strong for what ever the dealer put on and thus it started to streak.

You only need 1 oz for 2 gallons. This may have been yyour problem. I use a Pro Blend Proportioner and add 1.5 oz to 3 gallons water. IME more ISNT better with ONR.

:iagree: also, however, I really didn't have the time to do so. If was 9:30 last night when I finally got my hands on the vehicle.

As far as the mixing ratio, I gotta admit, I over did it. And just so we're clear, I was in no way/shape/or form trying to down this product. Only looking for the input and advice which you'll were able to help me out with. Thanks AG.

I actually have the same car scheduled for monday, so I'll be giving the ONR a try again.
