Neighbor Hosed Down My SUV...WTH?

If it was a one time thing just let it go. If it becomes a pattern then go talk to her. One day you might need her help and if you go complain about some water. She might not help you when you might need it. (Emergencies)

+1. I'm sure she has no clue about water spots being a potential issue.

Jk go slash all four of her tires, key the car and then leave your business card on her window haha

Have you talked to her yet? Is there a possibility that she didn't even do this?

maybe they like cut the grass or did something and got dust all over your car and was like uh oh n squirted it before u saw

HAHAHA, you guys are hilarious. I bet she just sprayed it to watch it bead. Im the MAN

She has no car, so I can only imagine that she places little value on a vehicle and definitely not enough to care for one. Which is fine for her, I just wish she has shown a little more restraint and not sprayed mine. As I said, I wouldn't retaliate in any fashion because I park in the driveway each night. Karma would probably come back and haunt me anyway. I have too much to lose.

Accidents happen and I guess I'm willing to let it go at that this time. If it happens again, I'll have my wife have a talk with her. She would be a better candidate for conveying the point than I am. My wife gets it. She appreciates the time and effort that goes into it and she herself has become adept at spotting imperfections on other vehicles. Since it's not her SUV, she probably would be better at separating the emotion from conversation and might actually get through to the poor woman.

No. I haven't said anything to her. She was outside last night when I was talking to my B-I-L about it, she could hear every word, yet she said nothing. That would have been her opportunity to come clean or advise otherwise.

I don't leave hoses outside so it wasn't from my house. Her hose was still dripping water off the real when I found the offense on my car.

Nope. No grass. There really is no rhyme or reason to why the hose would have even been aimed toward my truck. There is literally nothing in that direction to water.

:wow:
Dude you really need to take a pill or seek help. She didn't set your dog on fire, she got your hood wet, and you can't even prove that!!!!!!!!!!! Major major over reaction .

It sounds like she was trying to be helpful. I feel your pain, though. Last night my buddy was doing some laundry at my house. He saw my hamper full of my dirty microfibers and decided to wash them for me....using about 8 pumps of my $40/gallon BLACKFIRE microfiber wash and God knows how much fabric softener.

I wanted to kill him; some of my best microfibers were in that hamper!!! In short, he was just trying to help, as most likely was your neighbor. Im the MAN

Sounds like guilty by association. Sucks. If you need to wash your ride and have no shade, pick up a bottle of Duragloss 901 Car Wash Concentrate and wash as normal but don't rinse until you finish washing. If the panels dry before you wash them, simply mist them with water then wash. It rinses clean in my experience along with no water spotting. But, you will have to dry in a hurry to avoid water spots so have a couple towels handy.

Heh...you're funny. Her house, her hose, no other hose in site. Yup. Must have been O.J., right? I'll have someone dust for prints this afternoon and we'll have definitive proof. LOL.

Hmm...I was upset when I found it and still a little angry about it today, but as I've said multiple times already, I've come to terms with the fact that it was probably an accident.

I think it's funny to suggest that if someone did the same to your freshly detailed vehicle that you wouldn't react, accident or not. I'm also not sure what you think a 'reaction' is, but I haven't actually done anything other than inspect my vehicle and tell a story about an experience, which more or less ends with me telling story.

Next time she's out in the yard sit on the porch cleaning the AR/AK talking to your B-I-L about when your car got wet.

I'd go over and talk to her first as it might be an honest mistake, maybe that's the case. Now if you hear this "its only a car crap", well, might be time for some "lawn maintence" on her lawn....that's all I'm saying!

As far as being scared to death to ONR a car, its been done THOUSANDS of times a day for probably the past 3 yrs I bet, no worries!

I would be really annoyed over this but not to the point where it would cause me to be stressed/angry/etc. for over a day. Let's be real; she didn't soak down your Ferrari Enzo or Lamborghini Aventador. Even though we all are OCD about the cleanliness of our vehicles, at the end of the day, it is JUST a car. Life will go on. More important things will happen.

If it bothers you this much you owe it to both her and yourself to talk with your neighbor over it. Otherwise, you are ignoring a potential issue and how will you react the next time it happens? Address it now and be done with it.

What is B-I-L?

You should have tried "searching" it hahahaha

The good thing is that your venting... Breathe and wait 15 second and repeat. Till you get that shine that you are used to.

Stay gold Pony Boy...

Why is it threads like this get many, many more responses than a thread from someone asking for help??

Trust me. I get it. My wife will go and have a talk with her as I really don't care to at this point. I would say I'm mildly annoyed at this point. Keep in mind I didn't find this until after 11:30 last night when I got home and I've been at work since 5am this morning. Not exactly 'over a day', but I get your point.

This is a 'help' thread...think of it as a cry for moral support. We've all been there. Finish detailing your car, freak rain storm rolls through and undoes what you just work so hard to do.
