Well guys i need a paintless dent removal recommendation in Miami, preferrably mobile. The attachment somehow came off while using it and scratched and dented my car. Im a mixture of depressed and furious right now

I can relate...

Although I have never dropped it on a car, I have dropped it while initially using it.

Always a good rule of thumb to never hold it over the car while using it and make sure you hear and feel it lock in.

Sorry to hear what happened. Yeah I avoid buying one just because things always go wrong when I'm not too careful. Hope you find someone good.

I've never been all that comfortable using it and when I do I'm never over the car. Typically I stand 4 feet or so away foaming from there but like I've said, I find these "tools" more gimmick than anything else.

I use a Dramm300 shutoff and pray it never lets loose. Any nozzle could become a projectile.

I found a guy thats gotten great reviews on google, he'll be by here tomorrow. Ill try to post before and after pics. The scratch will still be there though.. unfortunately

Mine kept flying off on me at first - only in the yard though fortunately. I never pointed it at the car - I asked on MOL and found out how to make sure it was on there secure. I don't use my foam gun very often, but I haven't had any problems since.

Well, regardless, its going either on sale, or in a box for storage until i know im not as clumsy any more.

i've had mine for years and never had anything like this ever happen. there's a little clip on the black plastic nozzle that will make a click noise once you attach it and it shouldn't come off unless it's defective or really loose...

I cant even tell you exactly what happened, I was looking at where i was spraying foam and then i heard that piece unclip from the spray nozzle and hit my car.

I would be interested in purchasing this as well. I have been eyeing them for along time now.

I put my foam gun away months ago and it has nothing to do with the equipment. Its a gimmick. Old technology. The new generation of rinseless wash products do more to loosen dirt than throwing foam on your car and they save you time. Save your money on a gun and buy some ONR or DP rinseless wash or Ultima waterless wash and see that you don't need foam to release dirt. You need chemistry. You don't need foam. See my thread entitled " you California and Florida guys part 2 and see for yourself.

I dont have a foam gun but I bought a pressure washer and it came with its own foam cannon sort of thing. I love it. In theory it sounds like a good idea, but I dont know exactly how well it works at breaking down soil so there is less chance of scratching the paint.

I didnt buy it for that sole reason alone, because I do customer cars and I want to strip wax I bought it to put either dawn or Power Clean in to soak the car down and break down the existing protective layer before I start working on the paint.

I cant tell you if it helps reduce any wash induced swirls but It does help me strip the car of any wax prior to me polishing it.

Just my .02

I just picked up the Husky 1550. It also comes with an attachable bottle creating a canon. It appears to be a screw on nozzle so hopefully there's less chance of it coming off while using it.

Were you using a standard water line or a pressure washer?
