I recently purchased a new Toyota Tundra Crewmax in Super White and want to make sure my plan of attack is in order.

Wash using Wolfgang Auto Bathe with Meguiars Microfiber Wash Mitt using 2 bucket method and grit guards.
Clay (if needed) using Wolfgang clay and lubricant
Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhance (by hand)
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant (by hand)
Wait 8-12 hours and follow up with a layer of Collonite 845 for winter protection.

Anyone see anything that needs to be added or left off? The truck was purchased with the Resist All paint protection already applied, so I may wait until winter is over.

I do live on a stretch of dirt road about 1/4 mile so it is a full time job just keeping the dust off of it. For regular washes should I follow it up in between Wolfgang applications with a spray wax?

What products for the chrome wheels and trim do you recommend to help shield from the dust?

Thanks in advance for any help provided, I have already learned a lot from you guys and hope to learn even more.

I think your plan of attack looks good and the products you've selected will work well.

Will you be using a dual action polisher or working my hand?

Collinite 845 is one of those multipurpose waxes and applying it to your wheels will provide outstanding protection....

For trim CarPro PERL will provide beautiful protection but if you're looking for a bit more durability then take a good look at CQuartz DLux Plastic & Wheel Coating

Thanks, yes I have been looking at the various dual actions and I think I have settled on the Porter Cable 7424XP. So, hopefully it will be in the near future.
 
Pretty truck, just bought mine in late September. Got it at Bob Howard and they totally screwed my black paint up and then didn't want to do anything to fix it. Left swirls and heavy marring because the young kids that "detail" cars used a rotary on it. They kinda got it fixed by a guy here in the city that does detailing but he didn't so a good job at the paint correction. So I'm driving to Ft Worth this weekend to get it fixed and opti-coat put on. I'm from Yukon btw.View attachment 14387
 
Good looking truck! Sorry to hear about your experience. I purchased mine in October from Jim Norton Toyota (Formerly Momentum). They seemed to do a fairly decent job at the detail. But, as you know, the imperfections wont show up like on a darker color.

Looks like your just down the road from me. I will be sure to keep an eye out for you.
 
Welcome to the Forums. When the weather warms and you want your white too pop. Use the Pinnacle Liquid Souvern Car Wax. That's what I have on my White Silverado.
 
As far as microfiber choices go, how do these look?

Cobra Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave for drying

Miracle Towels for polish, wax removal, and final buffing

Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass towel For glass



I do have an assortment of old meguiars and cheap autozone microfibers I can use for wheels trim etc.

What is Resist All paint protection? You do know that you have single stage paint and no clear coat?
 
I suggest Duragloss 501 or Pooyboy's pro polish as a cleaner/polish.
Collinite 845 was will work great.
 
Yes, I am aware it is a ss paint. The exterior application of Resist All is a paint sealant. I purchased the Resist All package mainly for the interior warranty. They apply there fabric guard, leather guard etc. and if you ever have damage to the leather, to interior plastic, trim, carpet stains etc. they will repair or replace for free.

It was an add on but with 3 kids, I felt it was worth having.

I have a new corolla that's super white, the first thing I used to wash it with was finish Kare soil and coating remover, this stuff is great and removes everything, just follow the directions. Next I Clayed with pinnacle ultra fine clay and pinnacle clay lube, next I used pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion, next I used Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant, I also polished each step, then I topped it off with pinnacle souveran paste wax, and I have to tell you it went from super white to super, super, super white, I have a cyclo polisher and used a blue wool pad, it looks like glass. The products you have listed are awesome and should give you the look you. Best of luck to you my friend and shine on.
