Loach,
That's a nice video for sure. Thanks for doing it. But that TW WOWA product just looks like it sux. It looks to have the hydrophobic characteristics of naked, decontaminated, healthy, clean paint. IMHO "sheeting" is just bad beading. Bad sheeting to me just means a product that really isn't hydrophobic.
This is kind of part of the reason why I don't buy "consumer" car care products - and tend to stick to boutique type products. The product claims great beading - but delivers little to none. How can that be? 99% of the masses probably don't even know what "beading" is - they just want to rub something on there car that's advertised to "protect" it.
So, to me it looks like the advertising is misleading. They also say it lasts a year. Now they lied regarding the beading - who's to say they won't lie about that? Maybe it lasts a few days? Who knows?
Now you've (someone) spent your money and time on this product - when those of us in the know (like you) just could have went with some AG WOWA sealant and got stellar results. While the product may initially be "cheaper", the hit or miss performance of these type of products means you (any user) has to waste their valuable time playing around with them to see if they perform as described.
But if your selling a boutique product like this - you'd better deliver. Because, the enthusiast market does care - and plenty of people like me will get on forums like AGO and bash it all day long. So, IMHO most of the boutique products deliver pretty reliably: Pinnacle, Optimum, Prima, BlackFire, DoDo Juice, etc... So, while the initial application cost may be more - I know when I'm using them I'm going to get good results and not just waste my time (very valuable to me) on a product that under delivers.
It's not about being a product snob, it's about trusting and supporting the people who make the stuff you use to deliver reliable good results - so you don't waste your time and money on an inferior product that will end up in the garbage. I've listed some brands I mostly trust - and know I will get excellent results with their products.
The Turtle - not so much.
So, I'd rather not support a company that puts out inconsistent products - which means to me they really don't give a ####.
On the other hand, their liquid wax seems to bead well.
