New and need advice

Ok thanks. So what would you suggest as far as what color pads to purchase? Just some white ones?

For a cleaner wax, the white or black pads was what I used. I sold off my white pads in favor of the black. Now I'm finding the red B&S do the job just fine.

For cutting I use the green. Paired with a smat abrasive, like Megs M100, Ultimate Compound, etc, I get much more cut than the yellow or orange pads. You can see some of my testing the green pad and Ultimate Compound against 1000 grit sanding marks in my photo albums, with a small write up of my assessment. The machine I used was a PC. I have 100% faith in that machine, and paired with the right product, pad, and technique is a very capable tool. I often set aside the Flex 3401 because it was too slow for me. I finally ended up selling it.

For polishing, it's the blue buff and shine, and Megs M205, or Ultimate Polish.
