Received the AR Blue 383 for Christmas, and of course immediately started researching which foam cannon and soap combo to pick up. Seemes like AR has taken notice of the lost business and have developed their own cannon and also a MTM adaptor:

AR Foamer Cannon: AR Foamer Cannon

MTM adaptor: AR Foamer Cannon Adapter

Has anyone tried the AR Cannon? I can't find a single review for it. Should I take the plunge and get it over the MTM adapter plus MTM Cannon for electric PW? The price difference is about $15 for the second option, which isn't much but that's still $15 less to spend here...

I'm looking to buy a pressure washer here soon and was wondering the same thing before I make my purchase.

Thanks!

If I'm being completely honest....All of the higher end foam cannons are of the same construction. You can't go wrong with any of them! That being said, I purchased mine from AG at a great discount and it works beautifully!

I have the ar foam cannon and it works great! My bottle randomly decided to crack open from the neck, but ar is sending me a new bottle for free! Otherwise it's worked just like any other foam cannon I've seen

Thanks for the replies! I'm still trying to decide on which PW to get. Too many choices! I figured cannons were all pretty much the same. I just like not having to use adapters if at all possible. Does the AR model look like the MTM with an adapter or is it the actual fitting AR uses?

After I posted this, I called AR and they confirmed their cannon is made by MTM. So if you have an AR PW and want a cannon, this is the one to get.

Mine arrived last week, but it's been so cold I haven't had a chance to use it.

they look identical in every aspect. not surprised and i can't remember if it was here or on another forum, but someone did state that mtm does make almost all of the foam cannons out there

That makes sense. Thanks guys.

I'm guessing it has a press and twist connection? What are your guys thoughts on the multiple AR/Karcher style lances vs the other brand solo metal lances with changeable tips?

I'm having a tough time picking the right PW haha. All I'm looking to do is basic things around the house and clean the cars.

Have you looked at Pressure Washer Directs' buyers guide? I found that to be very helpful in deciding which to go with based on my needs/ budget. You're right, there are lots of options to consider when choosing a PW. Ultimately, I went electric for ease of causal use and lower operating noise level. Good luck!

Ya know, I've been to their site but haven't looked at the buyers guide. I'll check it out. I'm pretty set on electric for now.

I think I've narrowed it down to:

Costco Simpson 1700
AR Blue 383 or 390
Sun Joe 2030
Greenworks 1700
Maybe a Karcher

Wish some of then would go on sale sometime!

I have the ar383 with their cannon and some honeydew and you will be shocked at what it kicks out. The cannon btw does look identical to an MTM.

Yup, it's a MTM foam cannon - AR verify it for me when I called to ask. How much Honeydew do you add to your cannon? So far I've used about 3oz of honeydew per container to clear the road salt build up off my daily driver. But I've seen people use as little as 1oz for their weekly wash.

I used about 3 the first time but it seemed a little excessive with the foam so I toned it down to about 1.5 just don't want to kill the LSP.
