New black car need tips

what coating do you want to buy. send me a PM and i can put you in contact with the right person. i have GTechniq C1 and EXO, if you want something different i can put you in contact with the right person locally.

a good sealant is just as good if maintained the right way

I fought for a long time keeping my cars looking great, UNTIL! I started using the coatings. I use CQUK on my wife's SUV, my motorcycle and my GTI (all black) and love it! CQUK makes owning a black vehicle effortless (aside from the prep work and application) my cars look fantastic all the time, even after rain and the often trips on gravel. Look into it! Especially a new vehicle. You'll be glad you did

Right you are about the 2nd job part I plan to enlist full time. I need a new hobby for Sunday mornings anyway :p

Ceramic paint coatings? Seen some really good work done with those. Anywhere I can buy some high quality stuff locally without having to order on the net as I'd like to do the car this weekend.

Like I said before, it is commendable that you want to do this, but I think you should get in touch with someone on here close by, let them get the car ready and coated right off the bat and then give you some pointers on keeping the car in tip top shape. Not ever putting on a coating, you can cause yourself heartache and problems. Refresh Auto is near you, talk to him, let him do new car prep and coating on the vehicle. He may let you help him, then let him show you proper maintenance.

Once you get your technique down a black car really isn't *that* bad.

I was really intimidated when I picked mine up last year. Once I became more careful with my bucket washes, and learned when it was too dirty to do a waterless wipe-down, I've kept the paint in much better shape.

I did start with a good wash/wax/polish session to get the car looking great and remove all the winter/dealership defects. From there a little bit of caution has kept it looking great.

Learning a bit of patience is good too. Dust and road grime will show up quickly. Being able to deal with that a couple of days in order to take the time to wash it properly, will be a huge help.
