New Black Ridgeline and Porter Cable XP

Just brought home a 2011 Black RTL Ridgeline. I want to give it a good polish and wax to get started. I just purchased a Porter Cable 7424 XP. Any suggestions which products to use for this new black car? Thank you
 
Thank you for the welcome. As I mentioned I have the Porter Cable 7424 Xp and I recently picked up a few Meguiar's products (Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish).
I just don't know if those are the best products to use? Any suggestions? In the past I have always used Zaino on my Yellow S2000.
 
Since you did not post any pics of the Ridgeline, the best approach is to do a test spot with the Ultimate Polish to see how well that does.

If it does not take a significant number of the swirls out, you can try the Ultimate Compound. You may need the Polish if the UC finish is not as good as you like.

These polishes are non-diminishing so just work them some per directions and then remove to check work.
