I've had my GUV for over 12 years and the only issue was the bottom can started to rust inside from water that i would accidently while vacuuming. I came up with a solution though. I cleaned the rust and repainted the inside of the can and the got a plastic 5 gallon bucket and cut the upper ribs off and it fit inside the can like a glove. I then got a tube of clear RTV and ran a bead around the top edge and sealed it. I just recently bought an extra GUV just in case mine takes a dump. My best friend worked for Hoover for 38 years and got me an extra one.This how my garage started out 12 1/2 years ago.
