New Uro-Tec Pad System from B&S Pads

Recently I had a chance to really put these new pads to the test! Some of you may recall I brought in a rather LARGE vehicle to buff out because I wanted MAXIMUM real-estate for hours of buffing to really get a feel for these new pads.

Aah so it wasn't a new polisher you were hiding, it was the pads! Mike, where does this now fit in with BnS own Low-Pro pads also meant for long throw polishers?

I'm ordering some now as we speak.

Totally different foam compositions. The Uro-Tec pads are smoother on large orbit machines, however the Low-Pro pads are more robust (from my testing those pads are nearly indestructible).

You'll like these new pads a lot. :)
 
Are these replacing the low pro pad line or is an additional pad line for large stroke da's.

How is the cut of the Uro-Tec Blue in comparison to the Low-Pro Green? I'm trying to align their respective colour combinations with each other from a most to least aggressive scale.
 
They look similar to the foam pads from Rupe's except for the color on the Maroon light cutting one. Especially that blue one. Makes me wonder why they came out with an entirely different set of pads after only about 6 months of the Low-Pro ones being on the market.

When would these get offered as a pack of 6 option
 
Hey Guys, This is another style of pad that can be used on long throws. I also use them on rotary since I like working with smaller pads. They technically can be used on any machines out there.

Are they more or less aggressive in cut than the Low-Pro's? Noone seems to be answering that. How does the Uro-Tec Blue compare to the Low-Pro Green and Orange?
 
So why would I buy these over rupes or even GG? Seems like they are essentially the same thing

The green in the Low-Pro is more aggressive IMO. This line just gives people another option to choose from. More flexibility that the Low Pro pads so little better control over contoured surfaces.

Some awesome offerings from B&S!

Looks good. This might be a solution for people who enjoy using their long throw machines with their favorite compounds and polishes.
 
The Low-Pro's are the more aggressive pads and Uro-Tecs the smoother operating pads, I think they complement each other nicely as not all correction work is hard paint and severe defects. So no overlap but more about reaching for the right pad for the job at hand.
 
I called buff and shine today. They said the uro techs were made to compete with the rupes line of pads and that the low pros are the B & S premium line for large stroke da's.

Man this is making it hard to choose now. Just got my g21 and pad selection is so tough. The 3401 was easy, LC backing plate kit and hybrid pads end of story lol.

I'm real happy with Meg's mf pads and the cut and finish of the griots orange and polishing with yellow. I just want to get the most durable pad I can find before I snag up 10 each. It's just a bit of an investment with too many choices.
 
I was about to just do the buff n shine low pro and this just complicates it now on top of trying to decide if I want to use 5.5 or 6.5 inch pads I have to figure out which line of pads.
 
Exactly how do they compare with the Rupes pads? The Rupes pads have a problem with Menz 400 polish (which I love). I've switched to microfiber to give me the cut that the Rupes blue does. I would rather go with the foam at times because of less vibration. What I'm trying to ask is there any difference between the Rupes blue and the B&S blue pad? Is the weight the same? Is the cut the same? Will I be able to use any polish without destroying my expensive pads???
 
I feel like I may just stick with the low pro pads. Just have to decide what size to focus on.
