What do you guys think about my new 10x20 Canopy? It's a pop up one... It's actually made really well I just don't know if big SUVs or trucks are going to fit under it.

That's a pretty big canopy. Are you able to set it up yourself?

Or is this for outside of your shop?

I'm not sure what the clearance of the top is. I have a smaller 10x10 base one of possibly a different brand. Description says the total height of mine is 9.5' tall but it can get a little tight with normal height vans and SUVs. I usually need to move it to one side to give my back some room when using a work platform for the roof.

Actually now that I think about it, mine has three height setting. Hit my head, just graze it, and the highest gives me a couple inches of head clearance walking under it. I am 6'.

I've thought about using 4 buckets with lids to raise mine up if needed. You could also fill the buckets and use them as anchors.

The problem I have with pop ups is, as your picture shows, they often don't shade where the cover is.

^Yeap. That and they bulky, awkward, and can't be used if the wind is to strong, but what's the alternative?

You can buy sides for some of them, but I don't know if they would be in the way. I have side for mine but have never used them. I just move mine around if needed if I can.

Their pop up canopy so it literally takes 10 to 15 minutes to put it up take it down

^Very true. I used mine yesterday. Looked at the weather and the graph of the projected weather. It said less than 10 mph winds with it tapering off as the day went. Well, it didn't seem like it died down at all and gusted pretty strong at times. So strong I had to grab a hold of it a couple of times to keep it from picking up and had to constantly be aware.

You know how it was the day before, high chance of severe thunderstorms! There was no way I was even pulling it out.

When I've used my canopy I don't even look at the weather, one gust can take that thing away, I always use my 4 5 gallon buckets filled with water and ratchet straps attached to the corners, yes it's a pain when setting up and moving it but it's peace of mind the canopys not gonna fly away
