So I'm in the market for another car, and No I didn't get rid of the stang. You'll have pry it from my dead clutch foot lol

I'm looking at either:

07 Vette
07 GTO
07 Charger however I'm biased cuz I use one for my everyday work related functions and it feels heavy........for some reason..
07 Tundra

Anyways for those who own the following can I get some input?

There is no 07 GTO, the run was from 04-06. If you are looking to buy quick, you may still be able to find some new 06 or maybe even 05 GTO's on lots, but it is slim pickens. You can check out LS2gto.com and in the 06 GTO section, you can usually find where people have found a bunch of new ones, or ask where to look.

Other than the GTO, I'd look at the Vette, great cars and they run high 12's stock.

If you can wait a ~year, the Pontiac G8 is coming out. It is another rebaged Holden (like the GTO) and it is based off the Holden Commadore. 4 doors, 400 hp, and it looks great (articles all over Motor Trend, Crap and Driver, etc.).

However, since I am just a little biased.....I say the GTO.:D

Edit: just did a quick search on ls2gto.com, and at the end of April, there were 1600 new 06 GTO's on lots out of the ~13,000 made in 06 (~34,000 total).

Damn I thought there was an 07 why are they stopping them? lmao! "Crap and driver" HAHAHA!

That's quite a range of different vehicles. I would also have to go with the Vette. If I have a choice between something and a sports car I always have to go with the sports car. They are just a lot fun to drive and detail for that matter.

Dont buy the Vette , because you will likely get rid of the stang. Everyone diehard Mustang owner I have known has given in and moved on once driven. It is literally two cars in one. Docile and everyday user, and nighttime brawler. Aftermarket parts aint cheap however, and only two seats for limited enjoyment. After owning two , well I am hooked and truly having a hard time getting rid of mine. (not used much)

As for the GTO, nice daily driver. Sheehan in Lighthouse Point still has a couple 06's in inventory. Car handles well and drives nice, I have considered on more than one occasion. Nothing bad to say other than its gone. The G8 as offered is one bad azz little 4 door.

Charger SRT --- you hit the nail on the head. Fat as hell, and feels like it. My coworker has had theirs for about a year and has replaced all tires and the front end twice. Their is NO support and it grounds on anything, meaning quick damage. The backend looks like a dozen rental cars, but man that front is straight out of muscle magazine.

I will likely pickup an STS-V this summer. Waiting to see the game plan and looks on the new Cts-V. Its gotten the approval to run with the 427 from the Z06, it just depends on pricing and final package. Wifey wants me to pickup a murdered Tahoe on 24's dropped and slammed, but we will see.

I hope they put a larger fuel tank in the CTS-V. 17 gallons won't go far, that's the same size tank my four banger Accord has.

A Vette or a Tundra??? That's sure opposite ends of the fence!!

I know I'm so mixed lol.......LMAO

Guess I'm gonna give the Vette a whirl tomorrow.

Why not have the Mustange an Vette? I like both of them. Convertabile right? That is my choice all things considerd. BTW if you do get the vette the insurance will in all likelyhood be less. 2006 GTO good car also. Charger if it it was two doors oh yes.

We have alot of Vette owners here. All good people and all love their Vettes. Check out the pics from "Detail Fest II". Lots of Vettes.

I am keeping the Stang, it would be a waste to get rid of it too much invested into it + I love the way it handles out on the course!

STS -V with Z06 motor NO! Look along the lines of a supercharged Northstar? The SS Vette No different name, maybe along the line of the mercruise vette motor.

Tundra is a little odd in that mix, need a a truck?

I'll say........used E39 M5 or CTS-V if you need a little more room for a daily and still want a manual, slowomatics are borring. Vette gets good mileage and comfortable but not for me, I like my sports cars raw, don't want to feel like I'm diving a Lexus :D. GTO...ughh, could have an s/c'd 427 for all I care...looks like a Cavalier (no offense to owners on here).

I'm waiting on that next CTS-V, the new interior on the cars are awsome, I like the shape, and with all the rumors on the engine option eitherway GM stated their going to put the M5/E63 in their place nevermind aftermarket blows either away:righton:....Buddy's M5 is 6 speed manual and BMW retardo-ecu sucks majorily, cannot turn it off and its annoying as hell...he's not exactly happy, think I ha da thread on here about it.

STS-V comes with a supercharged northstar v-8 and this wont change, even at product modification time. GM just dumped 7 billion into upgrading the Northstar V-8 for 2009 and beyond. Looking for higher displacement, same DOHC design, and higher torque and hp ratings now that Cadillac/Buick will move back to rear wheel drive designs.

CTS-V was recently approved by GM with the Z06 427 motor. Its a fact , and lets just say I have family with GM as a source. Looks and production as well as pricing are not known.

Corvette ZR1/Z07 (no longer SS) will be released next year. Final numbers are known and highly secretive, but will outpace Viper at 600 guaranteed. Pricing is rumored to exceed 100k. This is basically the Z06 motor with a supercharger and intercooler on it. GM decided against using outside companies as it did in past for low production Vette.

They only imported the GTO for 3 years because Holden's plant in Austalia was stopping production of the Monaro (GTO is a rebadged Monaro). They stopped production because it was cheaper than redesigning the car to meet the 2007 airbag changes.

I love Vettes (especially Z06.....*drool*), but you see them everywhere, I love having a car I can go a whole week of driving with and not see another one, plus it hauls ass.

I know Boca is a ways off, but if you ever find yourself up towards Brevard....I'll give you a ride that may just sway you this way....

Yep ZR1 2009, Yep on all counts on Vette 100 k .Cadillac well have not ran across one yet with a Z06 motor. Not saying their wont be but if it is before 2010, If their was I should have . I work at GM also. All Caddy V series currently between 2010 an know pumed up supercharged! People with Caddy expect Northstar or so I am told, marketing thing currently. I worked on that Corv 10 months ago and reviewd the changes 1 month ago.
