Just leased this car about a month ago. Dealer prep was pretty decent but I wanted to coat the paint today.
I washed the car first with some IronX and then again with CG Strip. Then I foamed it again with CG Strip and went over the paint with a speed master clay towel before giving the car a light polish with Menz SF3500.
At this point, I realized that my DP coating had solidified in the bottle.
I had to call an audible and luckily found a jar of Swissvax Concourso on my shelf. Threw some Gyeon on the tires, gave the inside a quick vacuum, cleaned the glass, and called it a day.
I have to say . . . the wheels on this car are a NIGHTMARE. The brake pads spew a ton of dust and it's mysteriously very hard to get off. For this wash, I tried Megs Wheel Brightener and that didn't get it all off even with scrubbing. Then, I sprayed them with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Wheel Cleaner and Iron Remover which definitely turned purple upon spraying. Finally, I had to quick detail the wheels twice with Megs Hybrid Ceramic QD and a microfiber before all the dust was off.
