Jimmie New member Joined Dec 12, 2006 Messages 4,349 Reaction score 0 Jul 5, 2008 #2 Acid from bugs and bird droppings will start to etch into paint. Best preventive is to remove ASAP. If caught soon enough they can be polished to remove minor etching.

ScottB New member Joined Mar 3, 2006 Messages 18,803 Reaction score 0 Jul 5, 2008 #3 keep a mf towel in trunk with some Poorboys Bug Squash. Polish the area a bit, and reprotect, it should come up easily if fresh.
