How do you achieve he new car smell. What product are the dealerships using and what is the process. Also has anyone tried any of the foggers AG offers and how do you rate them. I want to acheive the new car smell and dont know which route to go. Dont get me wrong my car smells good after i clean it from all my product but its not the smell im trying to acheive.

I believe the new car smell is applied at the factory. The manufacturers actually determine what that "new car smell" will be during the design. I don't think the dealerships have anything to do with it. As far as to how to achieve it, I don't know. I suppose you could look for a "new car scent". I bought an air freshener at the autoparts store once that was suppose to smell like a "new car" but it ended up smelling like armor all. That kind of sucked .

I just use the new car smell air fresheners, and people still say my car smell like new 3 years later.

when you buy a car the new car smell isnt an airfreshner. its the new plastic / leather / carpet your smelling. not a spray of anykind. the only real way to get that smell back in your car is if you install a whole new interior:p

And that's the truth. I've never seen any type of fragrance application at ANY OEM assembly plant

The new car smell airfresheners that I have smelled, well, all suck. They smell fake, kind of like pleather. The best that I have found is freshly conditioned leather. My car smells new (almost 2-1/2 years later) from bi-weekly leather conditionings.

my truck still smells new after a year. i clean the dashboard regularly vacum weekly and clean the leather every 2 to 3 weeks. and any stains on the rug are extracted . doing all of this keeps it smelling nice and new.:o

Which one do you use? :)
I have tried several and none has that new car smell.

A good air freshener is one sold by sparkle auto (air fogger) for 5 bucks, it work very well.

To get the interior smell like new, I treat the plastics with Plexus after cleaning them. If there's something that smells bad I would probably fog but not if I don't need to. Usually people comment my interior services with "smells like new".
