I love Folex! Its the best thing ever but I now want to try ammonia with lemon scent for my carpets since I bought it for hard water spots.

Not trying to be naysayer, but be cautious while using ammonia. The stuff is just nasty at times, lotza ventilation.

Windex with ammonia has been used for carpet stains for a long time.

I wouldnt use it in a machine. Just wipe with a wet towel and then A DRY TOWEL.

QUESTIONS:

--> Are we talking about using PURE ammonia here, or, did I miss something in the thread that mentioned cutting it 1 part ammonia to 10 parts water?

--> Would ammonia be something I could ADD to my Detailer's Pride carpet cleaner or Chemical Guy's Stain Spray for a little extra "power," or would that be disastrous?

I dont know, I just use it mixed with water . It is more for cleaning surface dirt off of carpet and fabric. If you are a pro I would use it , because continue use may bother some people. Ammonia does have fumes. I use it because it cleans great, dries fast , gets rid of oders when it dries , and does not leave a film on the fabric to attract more durt.
