New CG hybrid V7 soap.

Depends on your yearly expenditures and product selection. If it's what they carry and certain products you can make up that fee in $200-300. Although I'm locked in at $25/year so I'm not giving that up.

Yeah I understand, but I was just curious if he thought he had to join just to buy products.

$25? Now that's a steal. I've seen some of the membership prices...they are outstanding.
 
To clarify: Sameguy mentioned another vendor that had all CG products on clearance. I found the site, but there was a $50 membership. The prices were good, but I don't order enough (only a hobby) to warrant the expenses. :)
 
I once got 1 day to 10 years protection out of V7 Sealant when I used it on my wife highlander.

Ah, yeah the membership isn't required. If we're talking about the same place, but feel free to PM me if it's confusing. Either way back to the overall topic. I'd say I'm pretty hesitant on anything CG. I have a few of their soaps but I can't say I noticed too many differences between them. And I hate recommending them to new people because their product selection is overly confusing to discern between products and their help videos are far from actual help.

I'm new to autopia, but from what I can tell, most threads are the exact same.

I've seen several threads started by the same people asking the same question on 2 different sites...

So maybe they feel it's redundant to respond to a sister site as well?

Sometimes: it's 2 or more sites...

IMO:
•They could be looking for as much advice as possible?

•On the other hand:
-That's not always how advice goes.
-Some people only want it, if it agrees
with what they wanted to do anyway.

THIS, I don't care if it's the same soap technically as another product they sell. V7 smells soooo good. If this soap smelled exactly like it I'd buy it off that alone, assuming it cleaned as well as their Honeydew soap does. V7's one of the best smelling products out there imho.
 
I'm assuming this soap has whatever sealant or gloss enhancer that is in actual V7. As many have reported, V7 kills beading. So, I'm not looking for a soap that kills beading via some film it leaves behind - regardless how good it smells.
 
@swanicyouth.. forgive my ignorance, I'm still learning, but can't a product repel water and offer protection without beading? I thought I had read on another thread or product review that the product caused "sheeting" ? I'm with you, it would seem the more hydrophobic the barrier, the tighter the beads. thanks

:xyxthumbs: Yup, I love some tight beading. BTW, swanicyouth I thought your V7 review was very fair and pretty spot on. On the positive note I like the following CG products:
(SOAP)
-Honeydew
-Citrus Wash and Gloss
-Glossworks
-Mr.Pink
(Cleaners)
- Innerclean
-All clean
(Dressing)
- Black on black.. good for engine bay/ hard to reach areas. The other dressings are "ok"..better than AmorAll.

Othwise, their towels are overpriced and polishes/compounds are not up to par. The glazes, especially glossworks and wetmirror finish, have been good.

I was running out of time washing the wifes car a few weeks ago. After claying, I just sprayed and wiped V7 on the paint, and the next time it rained, it beaded extremely well.

I have ordered quite a few of their products. Diablo is the best wheel cleaner ive tried for middle of the road dirtiness. EcoSmart is the best waterless wash I have tried of the 6-7 ive tried. Their Bug was diluted 1:3 destroys the 4 other products Ive tried.

I just got a few of their APC's and degreasers to try out. I only used the orange degreaser once. I wasnt that impressed, but I had it in their foam sprayer so that could be the issue. Their interior detailer is ok, but Adam's is better in my opinion. VRP blows away every other water based dressing I have tried, but i just got PERL and will try it out this week.

They have WAY to many products, and it just makes it confusing, but for the most part, I have liked everything I have tried.
 
I really don't worry about beading, just shine, and V7 makes my car slick and really shine. I just don't drive it in the rain. If you like pretty beads, wrap your car with vinyl wrap.
