New Charger HELLCAT!

'Merica - Thats why :dblthumb2:

LOL! Soooooo true!

I would love to see GM, Ford or FCA come up with something completely new and different. A car that's outside the box from a perf standpoint, a new catagory, something noone has or can match. I put FCA in there for the hell of it because people still see Chrysler and think its Murican when infact its been a foreign brand since what, 1998 or so?

different car, different name, the original charger was a 2 door muscle car the new 4 door charger is a well a 4 door sedan, the challenger is a completely different car and body style, before the new generation charger the charger was one of my favorite cars now it has ruined it's name with the 4 door sedan variation

So the Charger name on this bugs you:

Did you like the 4th Gen??

1998, Chrysler merged with German automaker Daimler-Benz AG to form DaimlerChrysler (HQ in Germany)

It was sold to Cerberus Capital Management and renamed Chrysler LLC in 2007 (HQ in US)

FCA officially since August 1, 2014 (received necessary shareholder approval to proceed with the merger) (HQ in England)

Good job Derek, which always leads to the age old question..."what's Amaerican", where its made or where the HQ is, in this case, there's only 2 now, Renasiance Center and The Glass House. The cars in question, the Charger and Challenger, both made north of the border, kinda like my car, made south of the border.

I'll take the Challenger version over the Charger. 10 second car with a tire swap.

They are still WAY too heavy. Sad that there are cars with less power getting better times. HP numbers are great to brag about and all, but if you can't use it what's the point?

The next Vette is supposed to be mid engine. Pretty unconventional idea for an American car. The last mid engine American car was the FGT if I recall correctly.

What cars are getting better times in stock form in 0-60 and 1/4 mile than Hellcat Charger/Challenger? Especially under 70k.

The Charger Hellcat is the fastest production sedan in the world in 0-60, 1/4 mile and top speed.

Oh sure- bring up the $70k thing!! lol Under 70k no. I thought I saw that the GTR was dipping into the 10's in stock form. The new Z06 is high 10's as well but it starts at 78k.

$825K for a Hellcat, why, because its the 1st one, give me an F'en break with all this "1st VIN" cars already! Its not natrual like it was in the old days, my God, the owner will NEVER get that for the car down the road IMO!

I saw the MSRP for the new ZO6, really, "starts" at $78K, like you'll find one at the dealership for that price:rolleyes:

Yes, but this is a 5 passenger family sedan that is just as fast or even faster than most exotics. Any car guy had to give props where props are due and in this case Dodge gets some serious props for this accomplishment.

I have a 13 Charger RT black top and its a great family car that runs 13.5 in the 1/4.

No need for the timeslip, I believe you! The e.t. and mph are spot on too but its amazing what these cars can do with such high gearing, I guess they've got those transmissions dialed in for sure:props:

I dont get why you need 700+ HP in a 4 door car.

There IS no why, there is just because they can stuff 700+ hp in a 4 door.
Someone check and see if this guy has a fever, I think he's delusional. ;)

Well the 700 hp is in a large car WITH AWD, what's the issue:screwy:
