Now it is time to start moving everything from one trailer to another....with a few upgrades of couse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks great bro! Now you can get your kicks on Route 66!

Wow, that's nice. Nice blank slate's to put some great graphic's/logo's/whatever on the sides.

Mind if I ask how much? You can PM me if you need to. Or better yet, maybe if anyone can supply a link to where something like these are sold?

Wow that looks awesome! Can't wait to see what you do with it... show us pics when it is done.

Chris, now that's a sweet trailer. Route66 on the side, very cool. When you get your stuff in it, posts some pics.

Thanks.
I have been looking around for a used trailer for the past month. I have found a few that interested me, but I wanted a better deal. I wanted something with a side door and 2 rear doors.
I found a few used ones that ran about 1600-1900. Not bad.
I was on a way to a job today, and I left an hour ealry so I can look around for a local trailer. Well, I looked and looked. I finally came to a little equipment/horse trailer sales place, and they had one 5x8 left. I liked the style of it. not like all the others running around town.
The asking price was $1750. Plus TTL
The final price came to a little over $1900 cash. So, about the same as a used aluminum one. But I got a 3 year warranty on mine. this one is extremely durable and sturdy. I cannot feel it behind my Trailblazer.
It pulls extremely smooth.

For everyone else, over the next couple of week, I will be adding shelves and such. I will keep posting in this thread with updates, so check back often.:awesome:

very nice!! enjoy it!! we will be watching for photos!

Need to put some spikes on it or soemthing, so when poeple bump into you again you'll just impale their car:D. My old suv, had some person in a Civic hit me while I was stopped at a red light, her car met my class 4 hitch and ball lol, guess who had to be flatbedded and who drove away with no damage:D

Nice trailer, seems like a good setup for detailing with some locking shelving in it etc. Like a shelving wall, build one towards the back to store and you'll still have all that floor and side space.

Hey bro.......NICE!!!
You better take pics as you build it. Promise me!!!

I can't wait to see the final rig.

A good friend of mine races go carts with his son. In the trailer he uses to store and pull his go carts he has this pastic shoe holder thing he has mounted on the side of his trailer. It has all these compartments for putting shoes but he uses it to put bottles of stuff and miscellaneous tools. It's great because it's clear plastic and you can see what's in every compartment. It must have at least 50 compartments and takes up hardly any room on the side of his trailer. It would be great for storing bottles of different detailing products. He said he got it a Home Depot or Lowes. Nothing to do with lettering on your trailer but it was a great idea. I have an enclosed car trailer but I don't have any lettering on it.

Chris,
The new trailer looks like a winner..I can't wait to see it when your done

Update....

Today I put up peg board, put on some reflective stickers(so I don't get hit again...lol) and put down the vinyl floor. (missing 2 pieces)

Peg board inside and my magnetic business cards on the door...

Checkered floor.......(1x1 ft squares)

Home Depot had a only 1 full pack of these left, plus a ton of loose ones. Didn't pick them up when I seen them. Figured they would be there the next day... WRONGO!
Went back and the pack was gone, along with over half of the loose ones. I was pissed...lol I needed 32, and they had 30 left, so I lightened up...ahah
Will have to go back later this coming week and see if they have more...

I am off in a few minutes to go to Lowes for shelves. Not sure if I want to make some or buy some......

Good think you have a steel trailer for your magnetic business cards sake. The floor looks great.

Looking pretty good there!!!! I like it!!:righton: :righton:

update....

Shelves put up in the front. Use these for my 5 gallon pails. I will add another on the bottom for 1 gallon jugs and misc. stuff. I used heavy duty shelves and mounting brackets. Made sure everything was sturdy and braced well. Each shelf is rated at 400 pounds.
When I put them up, one side was ok because it was up against the side of the trailer, but the other side, I needed something so the jugs would not slide off the end. I pulled out my Dremal and got to work. I had to cut some here, score the metal there, and then bend. So, I bent it up to make a side, and man it took some muscle to do it.

Now I have room up front for rubbermaid shelf/drawer things to hold MFs, pads, and other goodies....... Will probably run to Wal Mart and pick some up tonight.

Edit...before I go any further, I will probably insulate the trailer with that styrofoam sheet insulation...;)

Are you gonna have anything on the floor? And if so, do you know how you're gonna have it secured?

Also, what do you do for water? Do you have a large tank?
