Hey Guys,

I'm in the process of ordering a new F250 Lariat with the chrome package. I'm still trying to decide between the Agate Black and Carbonized Grey. I can't find any real good pictures of either truck and nobody has any in stock. My wife has a 2021 Explorer in the same black but I would like to actually see it on a 250. Anyone have a pictures? I have a black Expedition now so I know how much work a black truck is. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Deano

I have an F150 in Magnetic grey. Hides dirt and imperfections well. I coated it because its alot of real estate to maintain.Best decision I made. Good luck with your decision.

Yeah, that is certainly a good thing about the grey. Black looks great when it's clean but doesn't hide anything!

Thanks for your response!

I have a crew cab 150 in lightning blue. After owning a black explorer, that was enough. A black Super Duty would be a nightmare to keep clean. Plus I really like the way that carbonized grey looks. Especially if you do the blackout package.

Either way, post pics. I'll be going to a super duty soon for a new toy hauler.

Quick google search…

When black paint is perfect-- PERFECT, its hard to beat
Problem is getting AND maintaining the perfection

A black F250 is a ton of real estate to keep on top of (especially in the winter).

You’re nuts if you go for a black 250. As mentioned, far too much real estate.

I'd go with the Carbonized Grey, but the Agate Black would look great with the Chrome Package. Good luck!

I'll post pictures as soon as I get it. The orders are taking forever especially for add-ons like Adaptive Steering. I'm in no hurry, but now that it's ordered, i want it!

JDGolden. I thought this is a forum to exchange ideas and not insults. Jeesh!. I was just asking for a for pictures to compare the two colors. I have a black Expedition EL so I am well aware of the real estate and what is involved with a black truck. I'm retired so i have plenty of time to keep the truck polished and clean. But thanks for buzzing in.

If you compare this (AGO forum ) to just about any other- this is really the best forum out there concerning this. MP runs a tight ship over here and doesnt put up with much of that. Really its pretty mild in what was said , I would take it with a grain of salt

You do know that MP is no longer here?

Sorry if I offended anyone. Things like that are said very often here, especially in a joking manner.

Hey, your entitled to your own opinion. I myself must be nuts for owning a black car.

Please do not let what you perceive as an insult detour you from further involvement on this forum. I personally do not think it was meant as anything negative. Though I believe there is some truth in someone wanting to maintain a black f250 at an AG level being a "little nuts" ;-) We're all a little nuts here. Ask my neighbors. That said you are in the best place to receive tips and process's on how to do this from some of the best in the business. The men/woman here are very generous with their knowledge. Great forum.

I have been on here for many years. And I have to say it has been a very good experience.

Thanks for the input and I will continue to ask for help!!

Thanks!!
