I was lucky enough to try out the new foam gun soap and my first statement is wow! The soap was everything Meghan said it was and much more. It truly was snowing in Alabama in June. The soap had lots and lots of foam and it have a very slck feeling that my mit slid across very easly. I used it on my wifes car which was fairly dirty and had lots of bug guts and road grime all over it, the soap had no problem cutting through all my wifes car had to offer. In my opion this new foam gun soap is ready for release and I'm ready for a full bottle of this soap so I can use it on my truck.:awesome:

I also got one of the sampels and was going to write up a review. I love this soap. Blows Meguiar's Gold Class away! Very thick solution, and creates foam galore! I have to learn how to maximize the results, but for now, I am impressed and will be ordering a bottle when they go on sale. Highly recommended for foam gun users! Pics to follow soon.

1/2 - 1 oz of "secret" soap in foam gun.

Question about the foam gun. What is the deflector for?

I don't know.... originally foam guns were for janitorial duties... maybe it has some use spreading cleaning chemicals around?

I new I forgot something the most important thing pics! Abrcrombe I wondering what the deflector was for also?

I guess I am going to keep it just in case. I love the soap, and I guess I am going to place ANOTHER order. :p

ya, i threw it away the first time i used the gun. I couldn't get the thing to attach, so i kinda held it on the tip and turned the gun on. all that came out was some soapy water and no foam. I switched over the the good tip and tons of foam came out. That's when i threw the deflector away.

Thanks Neo. 5-6 ounces is a lot of soap. How much water do you add and how long does it last? Do you have the 1/2 gallon?

I premix my solution by the gallon. 5 ounces of soap per gallon of solution regardless of what the soap says for a dilution ratio. I add the water to a milk jug and then add the soap. let it sit for a bit and the next time i'm in the garage i'll shake it up.

i use a 1/2 gallon canister on my gun. i'll go through 1.5-2 canisters of solution per wash. if the car is particularly dirty, i've used up to 4 complete canisters before.

You would consider yourself someone who uses A LOT of soap to get the job done though right. I like the idea of your premix. You have all the good ideas. Stealing this one if it is ok. :D

LOL, Meghan... Does he use a lot of soap?? :p

I think I know the answer.

on my own personal vehicle i'll go through a gallon a month or so.

if you look at all the cars i do, about a gallon every 2 weeks.

confused!

You have the 1/2 gallon canister, and you generally 1.5 - 2 a wash. That equals 1 gallon a wash. Are we not supposed to fill it up all the way?

abrcrombe, if you looked at neo's method of washing he is very thorough and goes through a lot of soap and even washing mits, i think he said around 5. i usually use about a quart for my murano.

ask meghan.
Lets just say Neothin is floating my salary on his soap habits!:p
OHH wait, when you throw in his needs for ten sheepskin wash mits every few months, well heck he is an avid supporter of the GEEK!:righton:

Yeah Neo is somewhat famous for his washing techniques. No shame in that though. Neo you can wash my car any time! mua!

When will the formula be ready for mass distribution?? Meghan? any idea?

Another Review

I was another lucky one who recieved a sample of the "secret" soap. I was able to compare the "secret" soap to the Poorboys SS&S. Both of these soaps had great lubricity for a marr free wash. For foam the new "secret" soap edged the poorboys in this test. Both are great soaps to use in the foamgun and I would recommend either of these soaps to the geeks! I tested both soaps with 2 oz of soap mixed with 6 oz of water, in the Quart sized foamgun. Oh and I have horrible water pressure, which would make a difference for the amount of foam, so if you have good water pressure then you will generate more foam then I did. I took pics of both soaps also (pics are crappy, sorry). Once my poorboys runs out I will be getting this new soap! :righton:
