Like it says I have a lot of respect for you guys striping cars ft. I got my wife's car ready for the summer did the usual after removing old gray stripes:

  • Ironx clay clay and clayed again
  • used Menz 400 where needed. (I like 400) polished using light polish
  • topped with 845
but the most difficult part for me was striping it due to my shaking from my brain damage it wasn't easy but hey its done

o its a 05 Mountaineer

So nobody sees the difficulty in striping a ride?

LOL. But yes, I take them off too. I've never done any pinstriping etc but I have a cousin who is extremely talented in that realm. Kudos to you sir.

I would never think of trying it out myself; with paint or tape. I don't think I have the steady hand, patience, or eye for getting it in the right place and keeping that line straight all the way down the side of the car.

If you get a chance, watch the "How It's Made: Dream Cars" episode with the Rolls Royce. Apparently, there is one guy whose only job is pin stripes. No one else is allowed to do it. He paints the stripes free hand with no guides. Amazing...

Same here... I was pretty disappointed to say the least :)

Ohhh alright I see I was thinking it was something else... though that mercury looks great but yes stripping a car is very hard and nerve racking

 yep went south strait to da gutter.....grabbed a fist full of dollar bills.....and darn, was let down.

Back to the OP the stripes look great! No way I could have done that.
