Hi everyone. New here to the forum and man am I glad I stumbled on to it! Some of these paint corrections are just unbelievable! I don't plan on starting a business but really am looking at it from a hobby perspective. I enjoy keeping my cars and trucks looking nice and swirl free! Right now I'm soaking up all the knowledge I can before I attempt my first correction. I need a DA as well so I plan to do some purchasing here from Autogeek.

:welcome: Aboard Anthony!

New members are a great asset to the detailing community and besides, we are all willing to help you part with your hard earned cash by recommending all those products that everyone must have on hand!

I've posed this several times and it's a good fit here as well.

After reading and understanding some of the basics, the more hands on your are the quicker you'll build your knowledge and gain experience.

Everyone starts off as a beginner but with some reading, questions, and trial, error, and practice you'll be amazed how much you'll be able to do.

This link contains articles written by Mike Phillips and has allot of great reading within.

Basic steps in order are:

  • Wash
  • Clay
  • Paint Correction & Polish
  • Seal
  • Wax
Make detailing enjoyable and practice. Take your time and do not become overwhelmed. Just because there are a thousand product doesn't mean you have to use them all.

Enjoy!!
