Hello my name is Dan. I'm about to turn 30 and will be starting my own mobile detail business very soon, i'll post pics and more info after I get my equipment in a week or so. One quick question, Has anyone used a 100 gal water tank from fleet farm for their mobile water source? The reason I ask is they are local and may work the same and cost half the price as a 90-100 GAL detail specific jugs. Please set me straight on this so I buy the right stuff.

Thanks, Dan Lepinski

Hi Dan and Welcome to Autogeek Online!

I'm not personally familiar with Fleet Farm products. For water storage any polypropylene type tank should suffice and for half the cost of what it's available for through other sources is quite a deal. Does it come with its own pump?

Make sure your comparing apples to apples...

Using a pressure washer in conjunction with this water supply should make more efficient usage of the portable water setup..

thanks guys, the tank has no pump included its just a heavy duty water jug for farm use. I'm probably just going to get one from plastic-mart. I'll post progress of the build very soon, getting excited about working on my own, I worked at a car wash for years and only made $7.50 an hr. I'm sure i'll do better on my own. I also will have pump and pressure washer.
