What's up guys and gals, my name is Kevin. I frequent the forum quite often. And did so long before I even made an account. I've just recently(in the past few years) became a little obsessive about detailing. Although I've always kept my cars very clean, it wasn't until I got my current project 4 years ago that I have become so OCD about how good the paint looks. I'm a bit of a noobie when it comes to hands on experience with machine polishers. I will own a Meguairs G110v2 this year! Hope to get enough experience and start detailing on the side. I have an eye and work ethic of a professional.

This forum has answered nearly every question I've ever had. Always find myself reading Mike's articles. It's nice to have a small world of detailing nerds. I would consider myself extremely picky about every detail of my car.

Anyway, I drive a 1995 Acura Integra LS 4dr as a "grocery getter" and my ongoing project is a 1992 Honda Civic SI hatchback. I've nearly restored the car from the ground up and still have quite a long way to go before I'm satisfied. Not looking to write a novel here, but just wanted to introduce myself. Im the MAN

I can only imagine some of the questions detailers get. But I would do my best to make sure they are 100% comfortable in trusting me.

Thanks everyone. Nice to see some NC folk!

I'm actually about 30 minutes north of Greensboro in Madison. Lived in Latham Park for about 5 years. I'm still in and out of GSO throughout the week. It's a good "general location" for me...lol.

Welcome to AG forum. An amazing array of talented and helpful folks at the ready to help anyone is my observation.

Please excuse the low quality and high contrast in these pictures.

However, this is what I'm working with at the moment. Yes, I'm a Honda guy...lol. It's nothing too exciting, but it keeps me motivated.

Feed back please

Interior is the cleanest I've ever seen in a car that now has 256,xxx miles on the odometer. I've bought a bunch of cool aftermarket and OEM Honda accessories to "spice" up the interior....lol

I suppose this can be the conclusion to my introduction. :dblthumb2:

Welcome to the site Kevin.:welcome: Nice car and nice progress over the last few years.

Your Civic looks great. What was your method in achieving this finish :bolt:

The car has been repainted for a year and a half now. There is some slight orange peel on the hood, driver side door, and rear 1/4 panel. The only thing done to achieve the finish is claybar and apply Zymol Cleaner Wax by hand. The reason I chose the Zymol is because it's what my painter used on his car and I was absolutely wowed by it. It dries quite fast and is quite dusty...lol. I want to do a COMPLETE paint detail, but haven't had the chance to pick up a DA yet. I've kept it garaged nearly 90% of the time since then. The paint/clear used was Spies Hecker.

Thanks for the kind words. I really do try hard to keep it looking it's best.
