I've been detailing for six months now.Since then i have detailed several cars, trucks and suv's.I get all my work by word of mouth and hand out simple business cards i had made.I use Griot's Garage products because i get them at cost from my work.

The one step sealant does an amazing job.The best of show is awesome as well. The trick is not to apply too much.Just a little gos a long way.

I was able to take a detailing class here at my work.Griot's had one of there detailing guys here to teach us the basics.I learned quite a bit and keep learning something new every week.I am glad i found this forum.Learned a lot the past few days. :xyxthumbs:

Word-of-mouth and simple business cards are a time-proven marketing method. Taking a class can really flatten out the learning curve too...

We think you'll like the fourm... lots going on all the time...

:)

So when you gonna come to Indy to give us some training, Mike?

I would love to attend some classes but there aren't any offered around here.

:welcome: To Autogeek Mike!

Great place, superb products, and a wealth of knowledge just for the asking. :props:

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.Double i live in the South Bend area. The rep from Griot's gave us the basics on how to use their products and a lot of other pointers.I Think you can buy a detailing dvd on their website

Griot's in headquarters out of Indianapolis correct?
They have a distribution center here, in Plainfield, which is actually only 30 minutes or less away from me. I should probably visit there sometime, but I feel like Griot's products are overpriced.

i'll throw in a welcome from the west side of indy also!

wow there are more Hoosier's here! I'm from TN but relocated to Noblesville, IN. We need another day class or something for us all to get together before the snow falls.

I would be up to having a small getogether at my place but as of now it would be some time after thanksgiving before i could manage time off. Any ideas ?:autowash: Paul S

Welcome from the southside of Indy (Greenwood)! I'd be up for a meet, haven't been able to detail much since my full-time is eating up all my time.

Dang. We probably don't even live 15 minutes away from each other.
