Hi guys,

Just thought I'd drop in and say Hi. I am hoping to learn a lot from this forum to be a better detailer. I do a few side detailing jobs for people I know and I'd consider myself an intermediate but, beginner to using a DAP. I am looking to buy a PC 7424xp for my second polisher. I right now have an ATD rotary polisher which I dislike very much because of the easiness of burning the paint and horrible quality of machine. I think the PC will meet my needs for the type of work I do which is, slow pace and good quality. Thanks ahead for the welcome.

Yay! A new auto geek! :welcome:

Also, I'm going to recommend the Griots Garage 6" DA rather than the Porter Cable. It has a more powerful motor and a lifetime warranty. I've been very pleased with mine.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys!

There's always the right time and place for every tool and the rotary buffer is an important part of this industry, that said the DA Polishers have been and are the trend into the future and you'll be seeing more and more pads and products being introduced just for these types of tools.

Welcome! I've been here a while, mostly as a lurker but log in once in a while when I'm inspired.

Cool.
