Been into detailing for about 10 years worked at a full service car wash for 3 years in 2000. From Fox Lake/ McHenry, but currently live in Franklin Park.

Anyhow new this forum. Just bought a PC 7424xp XMT kit and went to town on my 2 cars. This defiantly takes my home detailing to another level :) looking to maybe start detailing on the side.

Welcome to AGO! I am actually currently living in McHenry county. Nice to see some more local people joining.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are some pics of my first try ;)

Steps were:

Wash
Mothers Clay
Meguires Ultimate Compound
XMT 3
XMT 1
Collinite Sapphire
Pinnacle Liquid Soverign x2

Probably overkill but wanted to do it right before a Midwest winter :)

Welcome to Autogeek!! And great looking work so far!

It's also great to see more local members here in Illinois joining! :)

I live in Johnsburg and a recent member (Lstotland) who joined a few days ago is from Gurnee.

:welcome: from Ohio

Vehicles look real nice...:props:
(Just think...OH NO!! It's almost time for winter driving in the Midwest:()

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. After doing some searching on this site. I found that the 5.5" pads are better than the 6.5" for the PC. So I just got some 5.5's. Autogeek is having a sale on Surbuf MF pads so I got 2 pair. I also bought Menzerna power gloss and more pad cleaner. Damn free shipping over $95 :)

Now I think I have everything except more cars to do. Really can't wait to try the MF pads :)

Welcome from Des Plaines, I'm also looking into doing some detailing on the side, we should work together sometime :xyxthumbs:

Once I can get some cars to do. I've done mine. I actually have one I'm doing next weekend. A 2000 Grand Am black. Should be interesting
