Ive been wanting to get a beginner polsiher not sure where to start or what pads I would even need.

I would also like to add my hood has been repainted a few months ago and was suppost to wet sanded, sadly it wasnt so im not sure I can even remove any swirls in the paint?

They were there after it was painted when I picked the car up

The Griots Garage 6" polisher is the best "beginner" polisher. Larry Kosilla even used them for many years until he started polishing with Rupes. He will even still use the GG occasionally. If you don't know who Larry is type his name into google and read what comes up.

Nice ride! Looks like Paris, KY if I'm not mistaken? Lexington, KY member here!

Heres a update to my thread, these are some of the defects , I am going to be ordering the gg 6 inch, which pads are recommended? Thanks guys

My last car was a candy apple red, tinted metallic clearcoat. Very similar color from ford. I had similar swirls and defects as well. I went straight to the Megs DAMF correction kit using a GG6. It worked exceptionally well for my first time. I've since used a few other products, and bought even more that I haven't touched. What I can say with certainty is, you don't have to second guess yourself using that kit. It won't give you absolute perfection, but you won't screw anything up either. As you've seen, there are hundreds of products out there and even more opinions. you may even get away using something much less aggressive, and even a few dollars cheaper. Good luck, and enjoy!

Did somebody say GO CATS?!

Welcome! Nice to see more KY detailers around
