Hello All!

My name is Jeremy and I'm from Long Island, NY. I am 25 and just purchased a 2003 Honda Accord EX-L sedan. It is black with tan leather interior. I know I know...possibly the hardest combination to keep clean!

I got the car detailed from a shop by my job and I wasn't too impressed. Therefore, I'm thinking of doing the detail work myself and what better way to practice than on my own car.

I bought a GG 6" polisher and I'm waiting for it to come in. The car has some light and heavy scratches that I would like to try and get out. Also, the interior has some spots I really want to get out.

Just saying hello and I can't wait to start detailing!

Welcome and have fun, and good luck with the new car.

Welcome from Long Island and a fellow Honda owner as well.

You'll learn about a lot of very helpful tips and great products to use.

Welcome! Im from Smithtown and there is a couple of others from the island on here. Good luck with your car!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm from West Islip near Babylon.

welcome. Enjoy the products. but do your research first. Stick to a basic detailing plan and you will be fine. I personally love the coatings.

Welcome to AG. Comn black is fun to work on it shines up better than any other color. You Can stand back and enjoy looking at it for like two hours before it starts looking dirty again.

:welcome: To Autogeek Online Jeremy!! :props:

I do enjoy black a lot when it is cleaned. The Nighthawk Black Pearl on my Honda looks real sharp too. It has some blue flakes in it. I have to get some nice pictures of it as is to show you guys some of the neglect :(

Also, I will do A LOT of searching and research before I start asking questions that have been answered a million times over.

I was first drawn onto AG a couple years back and I have always liked their selection and pricing. I have yet to bite the bullet and make a purchase with them though. After some searching, I'll pick up something especially for the interior. The headliner could use a better cleaning (tan headliner) and the leather needs a good conditioning.

Could anyone point me in the right direction to start my research. Is there a FAQ or some really informative sticky's?

I would suggest going to the forums and look at the how to section. A lot of videos from Mike Phillips. Very informative
