Been here a bit but not sure if i ever posted here.. Been playing with detailing since I was about 14.. got laid off , tried to work in a shop but they did shady work. So now i am trying to put my stuff together to go into business for myself.. Trying to figure out if I should change my company to a LLC and insurance and getting bonded and what not. I also do commercial janitorial work.

Hey fella, from Youngsville myself.

Good luck with the business in the area. It's slim pickins around here at the time unless you already had a clientel list. I'm suffering in Youngsville.

Hi from Raleigh...

Brandon1, I do think north Raleigh in an untapped market. The neighborhoods (like Wakefield) are filled with higher income people with expensive homes. I see many expensive cars lined up at the nearby car wash being washed, etc so they obviously want their car cleaned and I have only see one mobile detailer (looked like a budget guy but he did have his own water). You see a lot of yard service work done here but no detailers.

All it is needed is some education on why they need a detailer (swirls, etc). Many people just do not realize what detailing is about and how swirls from poor washing degrade the looks, etc.

i live near wakefield, and have a decent client list i do a lot of exotics in the area... Stole a few from auto wash express working there for the 1.5 weeks.. read my post in the off topic fourm.. there a joke.

Ha, well you are obviously doing something i'm not. I have a 5 year reputation in the area and all I can get are sloppy construction trucks and tractors around here (which pay my tuition just fine) but i'd love to work on some nicer stuff.

I live above I-540 so I am fairly close to you. The car wash at the corner of Stickland Road and Six Forks Road (Auto Wash Express) enjoys a brisk business with many expensive vehicles.

That's the one i worked at.. there full stage 3 exterior takes about 30-45 min on a 4 door car... they throw megs.. all in one on a megs light polishing pad with the random orbiter.. do the hood, top and trunk.. the rest gets wax.. this is what they call there best detail..

lol the Maserati that came in they could not fix the bird poop spots that got baked in the paint... i had to use my stuff to get it out.. the guy has 16 cars ranging from old stuff to exotics.

Well my dads is a Chiropractor in downtown wake forest so i'm sure my last name helps me in the area.. I am going to try and see if I can run out of his back parking lot during the week to see how that goes... He bought the old post office on S. white st. across from the cotton company... waiting on the steamer to get here before i start.. if your in the area stop by and say hello..
