Hi folks, glad to be here.

Below is how I got started in all this.
I purchased a 2003 Special Edition Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary F-150.

The next day I took it to work to show it to the folks I work with.
Under the parking garage lights it looked like the previous owner buffed it with 80 grit sandpaper!
They were all so kind as to make a big deal of pointing all the swirl marks out to me.

I then purchased a PC7424XP package from AutoGeek and proceeded to learn how to use it.

I then set out to start learning about products, pads, PC pressures and speeds etc. etc.
I didn't realize it was so involved and there are so many different needed process to obtain results.
Afterwards I spent a lot of time holding the PC on the truck and doing small sections at a time.
To my eye the scratches, spiders, holograms and swirls marks appear to be gone.

I know the picture below does not tell the whole story due to the angle.
It's not direct sunlight, Brinkman, shop light etc. but it gives you and idea of the results I have achieved.

I would like to thank the folks at AG for all their help and assistance.
They are very professional and outstanding to work with!

I don't consider myself a "detailer" just a weekend warrior that is just beginning to learn.
I now realize a real "detailer" is a world different from a wash and wax shop!
I have a whole new respect for what it means to be a "professional detailer".
It is a craft and trade that requires quite a bit of passion, knowledge, experience and skill.

I'm a newbie and just beginning to learn.
I am sure there are a lot of "pro's" out here that can enlighten me on my quest for the "perfect" finish.

Again, I'm glad to be here.

Welcome to Autogeek Online! :welcome:

I've taught a couple of classes for the Harley Davidson Ford F150 Truck Clubs in SoCal is there a club like that here in Florida?

Nice truck, the thing I love about those trucks are SEATS

Do you have the black leather seats?

:xyxthumbs:

Yes they do. There is going to be a Get Together (GTG) for HD's and Lightning's at Old Town on the weekend of Jan 30th.
A couple o' hundred trucks are expected.
Interested?
Here's the link Old Town: Car Cruises in Kissimmee, Florida

Actually, the seats in mine are two tone Silver/Black

Hey Mike there are a couple of truck clubs in FL that have a strong membership & attend alot of shows. "VFO" (VirtualFord.org ) I would search for "Gator Crew", Bert is a friend of mine & too say this folk's are into their rides would be an understatement. Lot's of nice folk's with some serious modded trucks & they heavily represent @ shows, G2G's (get togethers) / Meet & Greets.

SWEET TRUCK!!! You have what I consider a 4-door Lightning, love the paint job & excellent work. I wish Ford would have installed the leather package in the "L's".
Again beautiful truck & great work on the paint. :xyxthumbs:
